Pompeii Live for Schools

A rare opportunity to see the British Museum's innovative film about their recent blockbuster exhibition

As part of their blockbuster 'Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum' exhibition, the British Museum brought the exhibition to the big screen with a series of live broadcasts shown in cinemas across the UK.  Pompeii Live for Schools was the children's version of this live event, and it is now available to see for one day only at The Collection!

Suitable for both families and adults, the film explores the issues surrounding the archaeology of the fated Roman towns, the science behind the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD79, and the wonderful objects displayed in the exhibition.

Showings are on Sunday 29th September only, starting at 10.30am and 2pm and lasting for about an hour. The film is free, and tickets available on the day on a first come, first served basis.  There is no advanced booking available.
