Children’s Hands on healing painting workshop
Children's hands on healing painting workshop with artist Sally Victoria
Give your child the chance to express themselves freely through colour and creativity in a calm, welcoming space. This hands on painting workshop is designed to encourage children to explore painting without pressure or rules. They’ll learn how to mix colours, paint using their emotions, and discover their own unique style, all while painting with their hands.
Led by artist Sally Victoria, this two hour session is about more than just painting. It’s about building confidence, supporting self-expression, and enjoying the creative process. Children will be encouraged to paint intuitively, connect with their feelings through art, and most of all, have fun.
It’s also a wonderful way for children to make new friends while doing something joyful and enriching.
Perfect for all abilities. No experience needed, just curiosity and a love for colour.
*Parents/Guardians are requested to stay on site throughout the workshop. You are welcome to sit in the space and watch your child/ren or visit the gallery spaces in the rest of the Usher Gallery.

In this event you will be invited to let your child explore colour, creativity, and calm through the magic of painting with their hands. These fun and sensory workshops help children express feelings through colour, build confidence by creating with their hands and enjoy messy, mindful play in a safe space.
This may be challenging working with hands in paint, we have gloves available. The space may be noisy or sensory heavy, to help you with this we have noise cancelling head phones and fidget toys available.
Here at Lincoln Museum and Usher Gallery, we welcome all participants; if you still aren’t sure whether this workshop is accessible for you or someone you care for, please email us at ushergallery@lincolnshire.gov.uk.
