Lunchtime Lecture - The Founding of Rome

Part of our Lunchtime Lecture series on Classical Gods and Mythology, this short talk will focus on the mythical founding of Rome

Join our Collections Access Officer for Archaeology to explore the mythical beginnings of Rome, focusing on the story of Aeneas, son of the Goddess Venus, and his adventures after leaving the ruins of Troy to fulfil his destiny as a founder of the Roman people.

 

Lunchtime lectures start at 12.30 in the museum auditorium, and last for approximately 30 minutes.
