Encounters Take Precedence

Richard Devereux, Lincolnshire based artist for over 30 years, exhibiting extensively nationally and internationally since 1979 presents Encounters Take Precedence in the Courtyard gallery.

Richard Devereux uses a range of interesting and experimental processes within his practice, at times almost scientific, to create unique, abstract images that are impossible to replicate due to the very nature of the process of their evolution. It is the processes that Richard Devereux undertakes that allow him to continue to explore unchartered territory and avoid known solutions and arbitary mark making within his work.

Encounters Take Precedence is a series of Richard's most recent pieces using pigment dispersal on paper to create fascinating, peaceful images that have a mediative quality.
