Summer School Exhibition

An exhibition showcasing amazing talent from Lincolnshire schools

Groups of young people from schools around the county have taken part in our Summer School programme. Activities and experiences include photography, life drawing, group discussions, critiquing work, and curating the exhibition itself.

The students have experimented with portraiture, referencing this theme against the already existing portrait exhibition 'Picture The Poet' which is situated in our Usher gallery until 2nd August. A trip to the city of Nottingham was a highlight with a visit to Nottingham Contemporary where the 'Pablo Bronstein and the Treasures of Chatsworth' exhibition is currently on display. Then onwards to explore Nottingham Castle and the 'One Day, Something Happens: Paintings of People' exhibition.

A team effort has brought together this event, the students have created, discussed, planned, and finalised the exhibtion to a high standard.

The exhibition can be viewed in our Courtyard Gallery 10am - 5pm
