Just a Note

An exhibition of new work by Felicity Shum in the Courtyard Gallery.

Felicity Shum is a textile designer and maker at heart. She loves receiving letters in the post, how clunky a typewriter feels and secretly enjoys queuing up in the post office. She likes the feel of pulling dye through a silk screen, the satisfaction of drafting a pattern and hand stitching a label, or the tiny detail that are laboured over that others may not even register.

'Just a note' is a glimpse inside her slightly old fashioned world; relishing in the art of correspondence, the texture of a hand pulled print and the delicacy of hand stitches.

Please note: The Courtyard Gallery is closed on Wednesdays
