Daniel Pryde-Jarman Talk
Renowned and unconventional curator Daniel Pryde-Jarman will be hosting a talk about his work in conjunction with the University of Lincoln.
Daniel Pryde-Jarman is a renowned curator, known for his work within in small and disused spaces. Pryde-Jarman originally studied Fine Art as an under-graduate at Portsmouth and post-graduate level at Brighton, however whilst studying he would often have to exhibit his own work. As an art student he put on exhibitions around Portsmouth in settings including a lift, a window and an emergency exit.
Pryde-Jarman has since completed other post-graduate courses, including a PhD in Curatorial Practise. Pryde-Jarman will often find unconventional space to exhibit work; creating a challenge in a creative and productive sense, pushing the boundaries on what can be achieved. Pryde-Jarman has established exhibition spaces in disused basements known for previously housing hermits and abandoned council offices.
As part of his teaching responsibilities at the University of Lincoln Pryde-Jarman will be visiting The Collection to discuss his work on 27th November at 15.30
