Artist talk where John Rimmer will dicuss his work in solo exhibition entitled Nut Glove's City Limits and the Surprisingly Egotistical Show.

A new video installation will be premiered by the artist John Rimmer at The Collection in Lincoln from the 9th Aug to the 21st Sept. The solo exhibition entitled Nut Glove's City Limits and the Surprisingly Egotistical Show will also include an artist talk at 3pm on the 21st September where John will discuss his ongoing practice and ideas that have help form the exhibition.

The exhibition is an extension of John's research interests on the intersection of painting and video making, and the talk will focus on the making of the work, the conflation between public and private spheres through a virtualisation of space, and the omnipresence of the screen.

John Rimmer has exhibited both nationally and internationally, recently exhibiting in Sweden, and curated Digitalis - a group show which toured in Romania and the UK. John has also exhibited twice in the John Moores Open 19 and 21.

John Rimmer is a course co-ordinator and lecturer at Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln.
