Usher Open Exhibition: Art of the Now
The Usher Gallery Trust hosted their second open exhibition in Summer 2025, 'Art of the Now'. The exhibition showcased the breadth and variety of artists living and working in Lincolnshire. The exhibition was a collection of works that exhibited from 20 July 2025 until 19 October 2025. The open call looked to celebrate the wide variety of Lincolnshire’s art scene by holding no age or experience barriers. The open call received over 900 pieces of artwork with the youngest artist being just 5 years old. The judges were looking for originality, creativity, quality and skill as they narrowed the selection to around 140 pieces from over 100 artists. The works had to be completed within the last 3 years and cover a variety of mediums, from painting to sculpture and many more. On top of the opportunities to showcase their artwork, five cash prizes were up for grabs for the chosen works.
