Usher Open Exhibition: art out of isolation

This exhibition showcased work by artists from across the county of Lincolnshire, and it was the first time the Usher Trust, a charitable organisation who support the work of The Usher Gallery through fundraising and events, organised an open exhibition. The aim of the exhibition was to support all residents of Lincolnshire who have a passion for art, to exhibit their work in the Usher Gallery in 2022. The competition saw an impressive number of submissions. The Usher Trust received entries from 288 people across Lincolnshire, amounting to a grand total of over 700 pieces of art. Covering a variety of mediums from painting, photography, sculpture, fabric, graffiti to mixed media and including art styles from realism to pure abstraction. To select the final exhibition, the Trust worked with a panel of expert judges, who managed to whittle down the selection to 187 selected works, showing a total of 136 artists. Exhibition organised by the Usher Gallery Trust, working with Lincolnshire County Council. This exhibition took place 1 October 2022 - 8 January 2023
