Richard Ansett: Liminal Presence
Richard Ansett’s Liminal Presence was a street photography exhibition that ran from Saturday 22 November 2025 to Sunday 15 February 2026. This exhibition, one of the largest scale solo exhibitions of street photography by a living artist, invited the viewer to celebrate the beauty and drama of the everyday life in Lincoln. Using a powerful flash mounted on a 10-foot pole and a waist-level viewfinder camera, Richard took to Lincoln High Street one summer’s day in 2024, capturing candid moments of shoppers and passers-by in striking detail. These images were displayed floor to ceiling in the usher gallery, creating a larger than life experience in the gallery. Images: c Richard Ansett
