Ermine Street Community Excavation

The Ermine Street Community Excavation was an archaeological project conducted between and 2015 and 2017 by the Lincoln Archaeology Group. It explored, via test pits in people's gardens, evidence for activity of all periods alongside the line of the Roman Ermine Street heading north from Lincoln. The Collection was delighted to host a display looking at the results of the project, both archaeologically and in terms of the individual professionals and volunteers who made it happen.
