Archaeology Day 2015 - back to the trowel

Our annual celebration of archaeology in Lincolnshire, as part of the Council for British Archaeology's Festival of Archaeology. This year's theme was 'back to the trowel', focussing on archaeological fieldwork projects and new discoveries in the county, particularly those made by our local talented and dedicated community archaeological groups. The day included lectures, gallery tours, object handling sessions, book sales, children's storytime sessions, and even had BBC Radio Lincolnshire's Melvyn Prior presenting his morning show live from the museum!
