As part of The Collection Lincoln and Usher Gallery’s exhibition Richard Long/Cornelia Parker: Sculpture out of Landscape we are delighted to announce that Joy Sleeman, Head of Taught Courses in History and Theory of Art at the Slade School of Art, UCL, will be giving a talk. The talk will discuss the artists and the works shown at The Usher Gallery in terms of British and international sculpture and the Land Art movement.

Recent publications include “Land Art and the Moon Landing,” published in the Journal of Visual Culture in 2009 and a chapter, “From Land Art to the Anthropocene,” in the catalogue for the exhibition Modern British Sculpture at the Royal Academy of Arts London in 2011. Current projects include working on an exhibition of Land Art in Britain in collaboration with members of a land art research network and the Arts Council Collection. She is a member of the editorial board of the Sculpture Journal.
