Thursday to Monday from 10am to 4pm
- Roll the dice to choose your route through the exhibition or decide your own adventure.
- Explore the links between extraordinary ancient games in the museum’s collection, well-known boardgames and contemporary Tabletop Role-Playing Games.
- Discover core elements of gaming culture through creative and interactive activities throughout the exhibition.
- Let your imagination run wild through creating your own characters and building your own worlds.
- Dive into an extensive collection of games available for free play, selected and curated by our communities and volunteers.
- Encounter new work by artists who breathe life into this fascinating universe of creativity and fantasy.
This exhibition is suitable for all, from seasoned gamers to curious newcomers.

Sunday Screenings
Every Sunday from 1pm, free entry, no need to book.
Join us every Sunday for a family friendly screening of a classic film inspired by games or gaming culture. Each week we will be posting a teaser to tempt you or collect your copy of the screening schedule from reception. Ratings and running times vary, see reception for full details.

In the Beginning there was... Chaos!
From origin myth to world building, this evening of creative writing and thinking will see us mix majority vote and casting and storytelling to shape shared values and build Utopia. From dawn of time to modern era, what lies in store for our deserted island nation? We decide!
Mini Model Making Workshop
Friday 11 October from 4.30pm – 9pm. £20 per person. Book in advance
Help bring your world to life and create a diorama in this model making workshop. You will use pulpboard, polymer clay, paint and modelling materials to create a miniature building scene, ideal for visualising your world!
DnD Campaign Live Play session
Friday 11 October from 7pm - 9pm, Free, book in advance.
A secluded town deep in the wilderness calls out for aid. Missing children, eerie sounds from the forest and the people plagued by nightmares. Can you solve the mystery, save the people and return home heroes?
Landscapes and Lorecraft. Ages 11-15
Sunday 13 October from 10:30am - 3:30pm
This Storytelling workshop will have us feeling like Gods for the day. With Monsters, Myths and, maybe if we're lucky, a little bit of Magic, together we'll build a brand new world filled with, well ... whatever we want. How will we use our imaginations to create paradise? Come and find out.
*Important* This workshop will be supervised by DBS checked Lincoln Museum staff. This is a drop off event, but Parents and Guardians are welcome to stay in the building.
